With over 20 years professional playing experience, Jason has had the opportunity to play in many musical settings and situations. Whether it's the small jazz club setting of the famed Baked Potato in Los Angeles or the 40,000 fans at the Creation Festival in Mount Union PA, Jason approaches every musical situation with a super pro attitude and unsurpassed preparation.
His influences include any drummer that has ever played with James Brown, Steve Ferrone, Dennis Chambers, Dave Weckl, Marvin McQuitty, and Buddy Rich just to name a few.
After graduating Outstanding Student of the Year at P.I.T. in Hollywood, Jason has continued to gig, record, and teach.
While excelling at all styles, Jason's specialty leans more toward the funkier side of groove playing, as well as programming and playing with various loops and sequences.
Studied with:
Dave Bayer, Fred Dinkins, Richie Garcia, Ralph Humphrey, Taka Numazawa, Tiki Pasillas, Joe Porcaro, Ralph Razze, Casey Scheurell, Efrain Toro
Performed or Recorded with:
Ross Bolton, Bryan Duncan, Kyle Eastwood, Andrew Ford, Forrester Sisters, David Garfield, Ricky Minor, James Raymond, Kevin Ricard, Dio Saucedo, Trey Stone, Steve Tavaglione, Paul Thorn, Alex Wurman

"There's nothing I love to do more than lay the groove down so wide that it makes the other players' job easy. For over 20 years, a big part of the reason I've been able to do that is because of the quality, and consistency of Vic Firth Sticks!"
